After years of doing this Krampus became jaded with this because children kept getting more and more wicked each year. This caused Krampus to betray Santa and take to turning wicked children into goblins so their form would match their behavior, Santa was forced to seal his old friend away in a snow globe at the north pole but every year he has been able to break free and face off against Santa Claus in their eternal struggle.
